Kafrul Police Station under Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested two people allegedly for flying kite in the metro rail area.
The arrestees were identified as Md Alamin and Atikur Rahman.
Besides, four minors were also detained, later police released them on bond from their families.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kafrul Police Station of DMP Farooq Alam confirmed the matter.
He said the arrested two persons have been sent to the court.
Dhaka Metro Rail authorities have started conducting mobile court drives against kite flying following several disruptions to the services.
On Wednesday and Thursday, a total of eight people were detained from Dhaka's Mirpur-10 to Shewrapara areas, adjacent to the metro rail line. In addition, 7,000 kites were seized.
Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) Managing Director MAN Siddique confirmed the matter at a press briefing on Thursday.
He said the drive is still going on and would continue in the future.
Earlier on Wednesday, a kite flying from the roof of a nearby building got stuck in the overhead wires of the metro rail line between Kazipara and Shewrapara stations. This caused the metro rail service to be disrupted for about an hour.
