A fire broke out at a tea factory in Chunarughat Upazila of the district this morning. 

On information, fire fighters from Habiganj, Chunarughat and Shaistaganj station rushed to the Lalchand Tea Estate and doused the fire with the help of the labors of the tea garden this afternoon.

Manager of the tea garden Mofazzol Hossain said the fire might have originated from short-circuit at the factory. Losses could not be estimated yet, he added.

Chunarughat Upazila Parishad Chairman Abdul Qadir Lashkor visited the spot. Officer-in-Charge of Chunarughat Thana Hillol Rai confirmed the matter.
