BCL president distributes blankets in Panchagarh

Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) central president Saddam Hussein has distributed 2,000 blankets among 2,000 under-privileged people in Debiganj upazila of the district.

Saddam distributed the blankets as the chief guest on Monday on the ground of Debiganj Alodini Govt Girls' High School, organised by 'Tarunyo Gorbe Panchagarh'.

The BCL president said Chhatra League is an ideal organization as it played a vital role in several national crises in the country.

"Bangladesh Chhatra League is doing work for people. It is an example that the organization is standing beside of poor during the severe cold throughout the country. I have mended by honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina that Chhatra League will go to the distressed people in the country and mitigate their all kinds of suffering," Saddam added.

 Earlier, the Chhatra League president distributed same number of blankets in Boda upazila.

With Boda upazila chairman Abdul Malek Chistee in the chair, the function was addressed, among others, by vice-chairman Babul Hossein Sarker, district Chhatra League president Abu Noman, general secretary Sadman Sakib Patoary and Debiganj upazila Awami League joint-secretary Asaduzzaman Asad.

Dhaka University's Jagonnath Hall unit of BCL drama and debate secretary Dipom Shaha conducted the programme.
