Bangladesh Navy rescues 4 fishermen in Chittagong

The members of Bangladesh Navy have rescued four fishermen alive after a boat capsized in a collision with a vessel in Chittagong.

An anti-smuggling team of Bangladesh Navy conducted the rescue operation and managed to rescue them alive around 1:15pm on Saturday, reads a press release issued by ISPR.

The rescued fishermen have been identified as Md Nurul Alam, 50, Saddam, 20, Rahim Mollah, 20, Nayan Siddique, 21. All of them are residents of Cox’s Bazar.

Bangladesh Navy provided emergency first aid and necessary food and water to them. Later, they were handed over to their families.

Earlier on Saturday, a boat named Mayer Doa, carrying salt, capsized following a collision with commercial vessel MV Andromeda.
