Illegal soil extraction threatens agricultural fertility and health in Dinajpur. With 175 out of 241 brick kilns operating without environmental clearance, the environment faces grave peril. Illegal construction of brick kilns in densely populated areas further exacerbates the crisis, while the use of wood for brick burning intensifies pollution.
