An elderly woman succumbed to her injury as she tripped over and fell on a running shallow machine in Bakshiganj upazila of the district this morning.

The victim was identified as Anowara Begum, 70, wife of late Shahjahan Ali, a resident of Polashtola village of the upazila.

Officer-in-Charge of Bakshiganj Police Station Mohammad Abdul Ahad Khan confirmed the matter and said a case was filed in this connection.
