The World Consumer Rights Day-2024 was celebrated on Friday in Bogura as elsewhere in the country and the globe with a call to protect consumers' rights anyhow everywhere.
Marking the day, district administration and Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection jointly chalked out elaborate programmes.
This year's theme of the day is 'Smart Bangladesh Gori, Voktar Sarthey Krittim Buddhimotta Bebohar Kori'.
On the occasion of the day, a rally was brought out from in front of the Deputy Commissioner's office which paraded the important streets and ended coming in the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner office this morning.
After the rally, a discussion was held on the occasion at the Conference Room of Deputy Commissioner office while Additional Superintendent of Police Sarafat Islam addressed the function as the special guest with Additional District Magistrate Md. Mezbaul Karim in the chair.
Iftekharul Alam Rizvi, Assistant Director of Bogura District Office of National Consumer Rights Protection Directorate, delivered the welcome speech.
Officials of various departments, representatives of civil society, NGO organizations, various media workers, among others, were present.
