Bashundhara Food and Beverage Industries Limited (BFBIL) has offered 31 products through truck sales in Mymensingh to help lower-income people against inflation.
Bangladesh Trade and Tariff Commission’s Deputy Chief Mohammad Mahmudul Hasan inaugurated the programme near Vidyamoyee Government Girls High School in the divisional town on Friday.
Addressing the programme, Mahmodul Hasan appreciated the truck sales initiative which is supporting the marginalised people amid increasing food price.
“Common people will get benefit if other groups of the country like Bashundhara Group also take such initiatives. I welcome this initiative of the Bashundhara Group. May their great activities continue,” he said.
Bashundhara Food’s Assistant General Manager Rafiqul Kabir along with other officials of the company was also present on the occasion.
In a bid to alleviate the inflationary pressure during the month of Ramadan, Bashundhara Group has stepped forward to support consumers by providing essential commodities at affordable prices through truck sales across different locations in the country.
A customer can buy only one product from each category. For instance, if a customer wants to buy oil, he or she can buy any one of the one, two, or five-litre bottles.
The same rule applies to all other products including flour, spices, tea, sugar, and rice, so that hoarders don’t get to buy in bulk depriving other consumers.
The places in other districts include Joydebpur of Gazipur, Bidyamoyee Government Girls High School in Mymensingh, Tangail Nirala More, Narsingdi Velanagar, Cumilla Tomsom Bridge, Sylhet AMB Colony More, Bogra Satmatha, Rajshahi Alupotti More, Rangpur Public Library, Khulna Dakbangla Mor, Faridpur Chowbazar and Barishal Chowmatha.
