BNP-Jamaat hampering country's development process: Nasim

Awami League (AL) Joint General Secretary AFM Bahauddin Nasim on Saturday said BNP-Jamaat is launching destructive activities in the name of movement. 

"A court of a foreign country declared BNP-Jamaat as a terrorist organization. They (BNP) are creating anarchy like situation to obstacle the ongoing development spree of the country," he told a discussion at the Siddheswari College. 

The Siddheswari College organized the discussion marking the 104th birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Children's Day-2024. 

Nasim said the anti-liberation forces along with Pakistani occupation forces killed the people of Bangladesh during the War of Liberation in 1971. 

They killed Bangabandhu and his family members on August 15, in 1975 to make Bangladesh a failed state, he said adding the anti-liberation forces are still active to halt development process of the present government. 

Vice president of Dhaka City South Unit of Awami League Shaheed Serniyabat and President of the Siddheswari College Governing Body valiant Freedom Fighter Bhuiyan Safikul Islam, among others, were present at the discussion with Principal of Siddheswari College Professor Sheikh Julhas Uddin in the chair.
