Eid-ul-Fitr celebrated at 51 villages in Ctg a day ahead of Eid

Like past years, nearly people of 51 villages in Chattogram district celebrated the holy Eid-ul-Fitr on Wednesday, one day ahead of the rest of the country.
 
Followers of two religious centres in Chattogram - - Mirzakhil Darbar Sharif of Satkania and Shah Sufi Darbar Sharif of Chandanaish upazilas - - usually celebrate their Eid-ul-Fitr festival in line with Saudi Arabia and other Middle-East Muslim countries.

Several hundred disciples of the two religious centres in 51 villages under Patiya, Chandanaish, Satkania, Anowara, Banshkhali, Sitakunda, Lohagara, Boalkhali and Fatikchari upazilas in Chattogram  and some other upazilas in Feni and Chandpur districts celebrated the Eid-ul-fitr festival with due religious fervour and festivity.
 
A total of 65 Eid congregations maintaining sufficient distances were held at 51 villages including two big ones at Mirzakhil Darbar Sharif in Satkania and Shah Sufi Darbar Sharif of Elahabad village in Chandanaish  at 7 am in the morning.
 
Besides, eight other congregations were held in other upazilas of the district in the morning.

Chattogram district police sources said all the Eid Jamats were held peacefully by maintaining social distance.
