An investigation committee has found the involvement of suspended ADC Harun-Or-Rashid in the assault on three BCL leaders.

The three-member probe body will place its findings to DMP Commissioner today (September 19), recommending departmental actions against ADC Harun, ADC Sanjida Afrin and three other cops for their alleged involvement in the incident, said sources.

The committee took statements of Harun, Sanjida, other policemen of Shahbagh Police Station and admin cadre officer Azizul Haque Mamun, the husband of the female police officer.

It also scrutinised CCTV footage of Birdem Hospital and Shahbagh PS.

Analysing statements of all concerned, footage and other evidences, the committee detected guilts of Harun and four other police officials.

It may be mentioned that ADC Sanjida underwent some medical examinations at city's Birdem Hospital allegedly beyond knowledge of her husband Azizul. Knowing from other sources, her husband came to the spot and found ADC Harun there. Azizul reportedly protested Harun's presence and called some central leaders of ruling party's student wing BCL.

At one stage of scuffle, ADC Harun sought help of nearby police stations. Later, police took BCL leaders to the station where ADC Harun tortured BCL leaders inflicting critical injuries.
