BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi on Friday said the government is hatching plots over the election, accusing a “neighbouring country” of directly interfering to hold a dummy election in Bangladesh.
He made the comment after distributing leaflets and conducting mass communication with leaders and activists in Dhanmondi, Dhaka.
Rizvi said: “You are pushing them to interfere by surrendering the country's independence and sovereignty… The people of the country as well as the world will not accept the dummy election.”
The Awami League is defrauding the public in the name of an election, he said. “I call for peaceful protests and a boycott of the next election,” he added.
