Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader today said BNP is waiting for sanctions from the USA on Bangladesh to change the ongoing political situation, but Prime Minster Sheikh Hasina has clearly said she is never worried on foreign restrictions.
“Considering the recent political situation, BNP although is expecting tough sanctions from the USA with a target to oust the government , but Sheikh Hasina never scared of any threat from the foreign powers”, he said.
Quader, also Road Transport and Bridges Minister, said this while addressing in a rally held at the Aparejeo Bangla of the Dhaka University here this noon marking the 76th founding anniversary of Bangladesh Chattra League.
Accusing Tarique Rahman for giving instructions to his party men to carry out bomb attack, the ruling party leader said “BNP’s movement is fake …they already have escaped.
“Now we have started the politics against the corrupts, plunderers, communalism and militancy”, he added.
Suggesting to make the student politics as ‘attractive’ for the common students, the minister said genius should to come into the politics, otherwise politics would become valueless.
Chhatra League general secretary Sheikh Wali Asif Inan moderated the rally while its president Saddam Hossain presided over.
Later, a colorful procession was brought out attended by former and present leaders of the organization which paraded different thoroughfares in the city including TSC, Shahbagh, MatshyaBhaban, High Court, Shikkha Bhaban, Secretariat , GPO and ended in front of Awami League central office at Bangabandhu Avenue.
