Bangladesh witnessed 555 deaths and 1031 injuries counting 503 road accidents in February.
At the same time, 210 died and 129 were injured in 173 motorbike accidents.
This is 34.39 percent of the total accidents, 37.83 percent of the dead and 12.51 percent of the injured.
The information was learnt from the monthly accident report prepared by the Jatri Kalyan Samity on Wednesday.
A press statement signed by Secretary General of the organization Mozammel Haque Chowdhury was issued to this end.
The report was prepared by monitoring the news of road, rail and waterway accidents published in national, regional and online newspapers of the country.
