Ministers who got dropped from the new cabinet

A number ministers and state ministers were dropped from the new cabinet announced by the Cabinet Division on Wednesday evening.

The names of dropped ministers are: Minister of Agriculture Dr. Abdur Razzaque, Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal, Foreign Minister Dr. AK Abdul Momen, Planning Minister MA Mannan, Golam Dastagir Gazi, Health Minister Zahid Maleque, Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi, Social Welfare Minister Nuruzzaman Ahmed, Fisheries and Livestock Minister SM Rezaul Karim, Environment, Forest and Climate Affairs Minister Shahab Uddin, Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs Minister Bir Bahadur Ushaisingh, Land Minister Saifuzzaman Chowdhury, Railways Minister Nurul Islam Chowdhury, and Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister Imran Ahmed.

Junior ministers who have been dropped from the new cabinet are State Minister for Youth and Sports Zahid Ahsan Russel, State Minister for Social Welfare Ashraf Ali Khan Khasru, State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shahriar Alam, State Minister for Industries Kamal Ahmed Majumder, and State Minister for Housing and Public Works Sharif Ahmed.

Earlier, the Cabinet Division invited some 25 newly elected MPs as ministers and 11 as state ministers to take the oath as new cabinet members.

Cabinet Secretary Md Mahbub Hossain shared the information with journalists at the secretariat on Wednesday evening.
