Five people from Brahmanbaria tragically lost their lives in a fire incident on Bailey Road in Dhaka on Thursday night. Among the victims were four members of a family of Syed Mobarak Hossain from Sarail. Relatives, friends, and neighbours are gathering to extend condolences and support to the grieving family at their residence in Shahbazpur village.
The devastating fire occurred in a multi-story building on Bailey Road at 10 p.m. last Thursday, resulting in a reported 44 deaths. The deceased include Kausar, his wife Swapna, two daughters, Sayeda Kashfia and Sayeda Noor, and their only son, Sayed Abdullah.
Just days before embarking on a new chapter in Italy with his family, Syed Mobarak Hossain decided to take them out to dinner at Kacchi Bhai, a popular biryani outlet in Dhaka's Bailey Road. The meal would turn out to be their last.
Family members have shared that the victims had assembled to bid farewell to Kausar and his family at the Kacchi Bhai Restaurant on Bailey Road in Dhaka.
According to sources in Brahmanbaria, Saide Mobarak Hossain Kausar (42) was engaged in business in Italy. About a month ago, he obtained permanent residency for himself and his family in Italy (Gran Ricadi) and was planning to relocate to Italy along with his family.
The tragic incident has left the community in shock, and arrangements for the final rites of the victims from Brahmanbaria will be made after their bodies are brought back.
