Chief of the Detective Branch of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Mohammad Harun said Child and Old Age Care chairman Milton Samaddar became reckless because of his contacts with many VIPs as he thought none could do anything to him.

Besides, Milton admitted most of the charges brought against him while interrogation during remands.

Harun was talking to reporters at Minto Road DB office in the capital on Thursday.

Replying to a question DB chief said, “After 7-day remand Milton accepted most of the charges brought against him.”

He further said, “After we asked Milton about the fake death certificates, he said there was no doctor appointed at his ashram. It is he himself who forged doctors’ signature in the fake death certificates.”

“In the operation theater Milton used to cut the dead bodies himself with a blade-knife,” said DB boss.

Harun further said most of the people who came to the ashram behaved abnormally due to being paralyzed or mentally unbalanced. Milton would then beat them physically and torture mentally until they died.

When Milton in the remand room was asked regarding beating people, Harun said that, “He used to take Yaba and drugs before beating.”

Milton's main strength behind these demonic activities was his association with VIPs. He thought that no one could do anything to him, ended DB chief Harun.
